Please bring your computer to rehearsal tomorrow for a read through.  We will be sending out script materials to each cast by tomorrow afternoon.  There is no need to print these scripts yet, your directors will send you a final version of their scripts in the coming days.  The general rehearsal schedule will also be attached, however, your director may adjust call times within your show's rehearsal block.

Broadway Melodies 2012 will be Feb 1-5 in Hanes Art Center. The first rehearsal will be Tuesday, Jan 15th in Union 2518 with the following schedule:

Tickets on Sale for "The Rocky Horror Show"

Pauper Players is proud to announce that tickets for the fall production of "The Rocky Horror Show" are now on sale. "The Rocky Horror Show" opens the night of  Friday, November 9th at midnight and runs through Monday, November 12th. For a complete listing of show times see below.  Pauper is excited to be returning to The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, and tickets are available on The ArtsCenter's website.

"The Rocky Horror Show" is a cult classic filled with science fiction sensibility, sassy musical numbers, and drag show antics complete with a second act floor show. Come join us as we do the "Time Warp" again and check out the light "Over at the Frankenstein Place." This spooky show is something you do not want to miss!

This show is intended for mature audiences.

Also, tomorrow Thursday, August 30th please bring ALL REHEARSAL CONFLICTS with you. This is very important as we need to make the rehearsal schedule for the next month and distribute before the next rehearsal.  If you would prefer to email the conflicts, please do so before the read-through tomorrow to illige@live.unc.edu.

"The Rocky Horror Show" Stage Manager

"The Rocky Horror Show" Audition Information

Auditions for Pauper Players' fall production of "The Rocky Horror Show" will be held on Monday, August 27th and Tuesday, August 28th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with callbacks for all roles on Wednesday, August 29th. Both auditions and callbacks will be held in the Frank Porter Graham Student Union, room 2518.

Anyone who would like to audition should sign up for a time slot on a sheet in the Union Information Hub. The sign up sheet will be available by the first day of classes, Tuesday, August 21st. All who audition should prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song that shows both vocal and acting range (no selections from the show, please). Those auditioning will also be required to do scales. Please bring sheet music as an accompanist will be provided. A capella and/or prerecorded music will not be allowed. Those auditioning should also plan to attend a dance audition on the night of their vocal audition. The dance call for both men and women will be at 9 p.m. In order to ensure that auditions run on time, please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your vocal audition and 10 minutes before the dance audition.

Rehearsals for "The Rocky Horror Show" will begin August 30th, with the show running at The ArtsCenter from November 9th to 12th. Rehearsals are generally every night, Sunday through Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., though depending on your role you may not be called for the entire time. The production staff will do its best to stagger call times as needed.

We would like to encourage anyone who is interested to audition, no matter their previous experience. A headshot and resume are not required, but please be prepared to list your previous experience on an audition sheet that will be available at the door.

More information about the show and auditions will be available at the Interest Meeting on Thursday, August 23rd at 7 pm.

At the meeting we will also discuss our season in detail as well as other ways to get involved with Pauper. We hope to see you there!
